Food, drink, talk, drink, talk, eat, drink talk; my recipe for a beer belly. Seems to work well. Last Thursday I was heading home early, we usually go out with Nomunication on Thursdays but I had to go home because I spent my allowance three weeks before, and I got a call while I was waiting for the train. Tomoko was the only one who didn’t read the Google group cancellation, and she lives VERY far away. Another great excuse to use the credit card. An interesting situation. A teacher, whose name I will not mention, was fired from a school, whose name I will not mention, beacause he was caught photocopying his entire body in the office. You can imagine what the Japanese female staff member thought when she entered the office to find this gaijin naked making copies of himself. Man that woulda been funny. Here’s a commercial that was banned from being brodcast in Japan. How badly do you like chocolate? Am I the big cat or the small cat? This is hilarious. Yes folks. That’s right; one dollar beers (actually about 90 cents). We do this every month. All of the Munchen restaurants in our area have this special going once a month where for 90 minutes they allow foreigners to order as many beers as possible in under an hour and a half. Oh. Japanese are welcome to join. Who says Japan is expensive; you just need to be in the know. Is there such a thing? Does it REALLY exist in Japan, or is it something brought to Japan by foreigners? Maybe religion has dictated that promiscuity is something best kept at home. The fact that men constantly challenge this belief simply complicates its regulation. Thus, if there is no regulation or standard belief, then it does not exist. |
