Archive for the ‘Sites Sighted’ CategoryTons of links to Japanese sites and foreign sites.
I’ll look at the other winners maybe tomorrow.
www.yahoo.co.jp Text in Japan is supposed to take up 50% of the site. More information is better seems to be the norm. Why? What do you think of the composition of Japanese web sites? Have you worked with Japanese firms to design a site? What is your experience? I will be conducting a survey with various agencies around Japan in the coming months but would like to hear your comments. I was talking to one of the teachers at Berlitz the other day and he mentioned an out service at Canopus. At first I didn’t recognize the name but after doing a bit of surfing I realized who they were. Based in San Jose, Calif., Canopus Corporation manufactures award-winning, nonlinear video editing products for video professionals and enthusiasts. Canopus’s DV editing, MPEG encoding, 3D DVE and video transcoding products combine innovative hardware and software designs to set new standards in performance, functionality and reliability. Canopus Corporation’s parent company, Canopus Co., Ltd., with headquarters in Kobe, is Japan’s largest maker of video editing and graphics products. Do I quit working as an English an start working there. A few other Berlitz teachers left Berlitz and started working there or do I continue to put my free time between classes into making Worldnet Japan work? I don’t think the money would be that much better than I’m making now doing the teaching and freelance and if I went there I may be stuck doing overtime. Not sure. |
