Gaijin-in-JapanBlogging direct from Kobe, Japan
Gaijin isn't a bad word. There just isn't any
other word to describe us. And besides, I'm different and I like it that way. Why else would I decide to leave San Francisco and live here forever? So that I can eat good food? Maybe. |

Finally. I can see more work coming. Well, at least until next April when I lose a university. This life is sooooo up and down. If I don’t get a full time teaching position after completing my Masters, I’m going to be pretty upset. The rest of my life would be spent as a part time university teacher and wedding celebrant. Yeah, I’ll have 5 months vacation a year. But I’ll have to work every Saturday and Sunday, never know how much I am going to make from month to month, and never have a pension or paid health insurance. For now, things are better. But what does the future hold.
