A new mobile phone application promises to give everyone the gift of the gab in any language.
Developed by NEC, the Japanese electronics giant, the world’s first real-time mobile phone translator is at present limited to translating spoken Japanese into English text on the screen.
But future versions will be able to take phrases in other languages and translate them in a similar manner, creating what NEC hopes will be an invaluable tool for holidaymakers and people conducting business abroad. Telegraph
