I mean, I go out to have a good time. Should I care that at some point in the night I might start talking a little louder than I should; might say a couple things or do a couple things I shouldn’t. I’m out relaxing. There are few times when my stress can be relieved, and sex is not one of them. So why should I feel guilty when the officer says I need to leave. He’s being nice. He’s not manhandling me nor waving cuffs in my face. He never raises his voice nor causes a scene that would embarrass me. They are always nice when I come back a week later and tell them how sorry I was for causing them to leave their box. The club owners never press charges and the police never even ask for my ID; not that I would ever show them since I’m pretty persistent about my privacy being leaked–government agents never squeal. Well. I question this because I have been told I might want to tone it down at around 3:00AM. I asked them kindly to remind me at that time.

H’oh, mon vieux. I’m a fiend when it comes to noise levels. Perhaps living on a high street with restaurants will do that to you… . After 11PM on a weeknight - shut the freak up. Please. No drunken songs, no loud drunken giggling, no yelling out to other drunken friends. No thump-thump-thump bass vibrating through the buildings. Consideration of the sleeping neighbours. Weekends? I give people until 1AM to shut the freak up, already. In the end, I, as the poor sufferer of this noise pollution, will not be able to go after the offenders… I’ll just go after the restaurants these people are falling out of with city noise complaints and the restaurants get the hassles. I say… yeah. Be a good Japanese law abiding schmuck and shut the freak up once you leave the bar after midnight. Because, you know, I care and all that crap.
