Staying healthy in Japan. It’s happening, I’m getting old and a gut at the same time. How does it happen? I want it to stop! I live in Japan, doesn’t that mean I am automatically initiated into the “I’m healthy” club.

I talk about getting fat and not going to the gym enough. Misconceptions of being healthy in Japan and the quest to stop drinking beer.

Homemade Ginger Ale recipe (not until summertime)

Educational Cast dude.
For people like me though, who do not eat meat, never go to Mac Donalds, eat mostly Japanese foods, health foods, it is not a big deal, in fact, piece o cake or tofu :-)

As far as Physical activity, you could go learn Tai Chi from John. It is LOT HARDER than it look, if he is teaching it correctly. You can practice pretty much anywhere there is space, with or with out friends. Or there is Yoga, can do at home. That kind of stuff takes lot of self moditivation. OR use the stairs at home more not the lift.
Sailing lessons, reasonable, meet folks, join a club do not have to own a boat, FREE boats can be found, lots of work.
Less food after 6:00pm, less beer, ride that bike in the a.m.
what about homemade light beer?

The ginger ale site also tells you how to make cheese. When it gets warmer around here, I’m gonna be busy with “cultures.”
